As one of the most famous restaurants in Verona, the story goes that about 250 years ago, 12 friends would regularly meet at a restaurant formerly located on this site to eat and do business. Today, the imposingly frescoed dining room is the place for top-notch pasta, and a visit to the restaurant’s wine cellar is a must – not only for a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the comprehensive Italian list, but also to see the beautifully preserved ancient Roman road and the ruins of the temple of Jove within the cellar itself. It is always best to book a table here as they can get very busy.
