SPORTS CAR TOUR 8 days

Day 1: BOLOGNA: Welcome to Italy! meet your driver and transfer to your Boutique Hotel in Central Bologna. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Bologna at Grand Hotel Majestic*****.

 

 

Day 2: BOLOGNA GOURMET FULL IMMERSION: Breakfast at the hotel. A guided cultural tour of the town which focuses on food aspects. During the tour we’ll stop in some ancient food shops and taste some local products, telling their legends, stories, and jokes. Walking around the medieval market we can taste mortadella, ciccioli, salsiccia passita, chocolate, etc. All the different tastings will mean lunch! To follow: a demonstration from the traditional pasta-makers, the “sfogline” of Bologna. With skill and patience, these ladies with their magic touch will teach the curious visitor the secrets of making and rolling out the pasta. As a kind of magic: tortellini, tagliatelle, and lasagna will appear. Discovery of the ancient taverns of Bologna… A lovely walk through ancient pubs in the historical city centre. The presence of university students has helped the opening of this type of “shops” since the XVIIIth Century and also today, among the narrow streets of the medieval town, some XIVth Century pubs are still very crowded. A pleasant walk during the late afternoon and evening to visit different locations with a tasting in each one. Overnight in Bologna.

 

 

Day 3: LAMBORGHINI FACTORY AND MUSEUM: After breakfast, meet the driver at the hotel. This morning enjoy a private tour of the Lamborghini factory where you can visit the birthplace of one of the most prestigious sports car. A private visit allows you to discover the assembly line of the Gallardo LP 560-4 and follow, step by step, the creation of super sports cars, from the body to the interior and the installation of the V10 engine. Depending on the daily schedule of production, guests can also assist in the creation of an Aventador LP 700-4 and its amazing V12 engine. Lunch in a charming restaurant. Visit the Lamborghini museum, established in 2001 by Automobili Lamborghini to celebrate the new millennium and a new breed of dream cars. The collection, admired by fans from all over the world, exhibits cars that witness the different seasons the company experienced from the sixties up to today: the 1963 GT 350 series, the 1966 Miura, the 1973 Countach, the 1990 Diablo, the 2002 Murciélago and many others. Late afternoon return to Bologna. Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 4: MASERATI MUSEUM – X-BOD DRIVE – MODENA: After breakfast, private transfer to the Maserati museum. In 1965 the company owner decided to expose the car collection in an exclusive location; the museum is located inside a top-level farm that produces the original Parmigiano Reggiano, one of the most famous Italian cheeses, as it was done centuries ago, in accordance with the highest standards of production. Here guests can admire 19 Maserati cars, ranging from 1934 to 2002, including the most famous racing cars of all time: the Maserati 250F. The visit to the museum is followed by a tour of the farm and a Parmigiano Reggiano tasting experience. Private transfer to Modena's circuit for a test drive on the X-Bow, extreme roadsters that reach very high performance. Light lunch or cocktail in the circuit paddock. Private transfer to Modena city called the Capital of Engines due to the presence of main car factories. Meeting with the guide that will lead guests to discover this enchanting city starting from the beautiful Piazza Grande (Main square) dominated by the marvellous cathedral, a masterpiece of the Romanesque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later that afternoon, return to Bologna. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bologna.

 

 

Day 5: BOLOGNA – FERRARI DRIVING – VIGNOLA – BOLOGNA: After breakfast, meeting with the guide and visit an ancient oratory, a unique example of the local Baroque style in Bologna.  The walls and vaults of the large room are completely decorated with paintings and frescoes. Visit the magnificent halls of the Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande, built by a noble family of the 17th century. Lunch in a charming restaurant. In the afternoon, guests will experience a spectacular tour driving a Ferrari on the winding roads that cross sweet hills and charming villages rich in history. The itinerary ends at Vignola, a fortified town that dominates the valley of the River Panaro, famous for the production of cherries. Visit the mighty fortress of Vignola, the wall fortifications and the fascinating frescoes of the 15th century that represent scenes of the Renaissance period. Later that afternoon return to Bologna. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bologna.

 

 

Day 6: BOLOGNA – PAGANI ZONDA – DUCATI – MILAN: After breakfast, departure to Milan, on the way stop at the Pagani factory, the showroom as well as the production area, where the mythical Pagani Zonda has been designed and produced. Private transfer to the picturesque town of Castelvetro, characterized by towers and steeples. Here it is possible to walk to the chessboard-shaped square,  a suggestive balcony with a fantastic panoramic view on the plain. Lunch in a charming restaurant. In the afternoon private transfer to the Ducati museum and factory, the world-famous motorcycle brand. In the factory, guests will see the production lines of motorcycles and engines and the pavilions where work on the components of aluminum and steel takes place. The museum is arranged around an illuminated racetrack that hosts more than 40 legendary motorcycles with a special spectator area housed in a gigantic red helmet. Adjacent to the track is a set of seven thematically organized rooms which provide more detailed information on each of the museum’s sections. Later that afternoon arrival in Milan, accommodation at the boutique hotel Chateau Monfort *****. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 7: MILAN ART & FASHION TOUR: Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend the morning shopping with your Personal Shopping Assistant on the most popular streets in Milan such as Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant’Andrea, Via Borgospesso, Via Della Spiga e Corso Vittorio Emanuele. You will also discover Vintage Shops where you will find the highest level craftsmanship handbag maker. In the afternoon after lunch at a typical Milanese restaurant enjoy a Milan Private Guided Tour: Visit Sforzesco Castle, Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, La Scala opera house and The Last Supper. Dinner at a typical Milanese restaurant. Evening Dinner in Milan – Restaurant suggestions: El Brellin, Gold Restaurant by Dolce &G abbana. Overnight in Milan.

 

Day 8: MILAN DEPARTURE: After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a Private Transfer to Milan Malpensa or Linate Airport.
