The Italian Connection | Luxury Villa Sicily | Ragusa

A few kilometres from the baroque town of Ragusa, and about a 15-minute drive from the coast at Scoglitti, set in a landscape much loved by cinematographers with its low-lying scrub, dry-limestone walls and ancient olive and carob trees that form the backdrop for the Inspector Montalbano TV series.

The villa is on two levels. On the ground floor, there is a living room where huge glass windows interweave with drystone walls, revealing wonderful views over the countryside to the sea and the splendid Castello di Donnafugata, a landscape that changes colour with the season and time of day. On a clear day, you can see as far as Mount Etna and Malta. Opening off the living area is a well-equipped kitchen. Three of the bedrooms have double beds and ensuite bathrooms; the third is a twin with a small bathroom and a useful little laundry area.

There is a large swimming pool with an outdoor shower, and various furnished outdoor spaces to make outdoor living comfortable at all hours of the day. There is also a wonderful vegetable garden, from which guests are welcome to help themselves. The villa is screened by vegetation from its twin villa guaranteeing both privacy, but providing a perfect solution for groups of twelve or two large families. Each villa has its own pool.

Sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms
