PIEDMONT

A paradise for true food and wine lovers, Piedmont lies in north-western Italy and offers an extraordinary diversity of landscapes — from the dramatic Alpine peaks to the gentle plains of the Po Valley. Renowned vineyards produce some of the world’s finest wines, while forests rich in truffles and hazelnuts surround an abundance of breath-taking countryside waiting to be explored. It is a true fantasyland for the bon vivant.

Piedmont is also the birthplace of the Slow Food movement, a philosophy that celebrates local, organic ingredients and time-honoured culinary traditions in response to fast food culture. Here, authentic flavours and a slower pace of life take centre stage, enchanting visitors in countless ways.

In Piedmont, you can still savour the essence of authentic Italy. It is the perfect region for relaxing, indulging in the good life, and immersing yourself in nature — and, of course, ideal for Vespa touring. Each route winds through captivating landscapes where hilltop castles, outstanding restaurants and prestigious wineries follow one another in perfect harmony.

All tours start and finish in Piazza Savona, Alba, the heart of this gastronomic region. The Barolo, Alta Langa, Barbaresco and Roero routes are among the most celebrated. Should you wish to include a visit to one or both nearby cities during your stay, we would be delighted to design a personalised city experience for you. Please request further details on the four tours mentioned above.  Tour also available driving a convertible Fiat 500.

VERONA, LAKE GARDA & THE VALPOLICELLA REGION

Magnificent views and tranquillity greet you.  The lake itself is huge and such a treat for the eye. Also, Valpolicella and Verona will no doubt steal your heart. Valpolicella is a viticultural area, famous for its wines on the eastern side of the lake. It is just as highly ranked as the Chianti region.

Verona is the city of love, of Romeo and Juliet. But there is so much more to this city than just the tale of two lovers. Enjoy the many Roman architectural remains. The Arena is the third largest remaining Roman amphitheatre in Italy which is today used for opera. Why not combine your Vespa holiday with a night at the opera, simply magical.

Our trips from 'San Pietro in Cariano' take you to the north and south of Lake Garda and through the Valpolicella region and the city of Verona. These will certainly make you dream about delicious Italian wines and history. Also, Venice is just a short distance from this region and can be added to your trip. LE MARCHE

Marche is one of Italy’s lesser-known gems and a region truly worth discovering. Often overlooked, Le Marche offers exceptional value compared to its neighbouring regions and rewards visitors with an extraordinary variety of landscapes — from rolling hills and mountains to stunning, unspoilt beaches.

Our departure point in Le Marche is Serra de’ Conti. From here, a selection of four distinct Vespa tours invites you to explore the region’s natural beauty, culture, and flavours.

The Sassi Tour takes you to the spectacular Grotte di Frasassi, where you will witness the sheer splendour and majesty of nature inside one of Europe’s most impressive cave systems. The Verdicchio Tour celebrates the region’s most famous wine, with a stop at Montecappone to taste their outstanding white wines. During the Senigallia Tour, you can enjoy time by the sea — perfect for cooling off or even taking a refreshing swim. Finally, the Valcesano Tour leads you through charming, authentic Italian villages, where inviting local restaurants provide wonderful opportunities to wine and dine.

Prefer a livelier seaside atmosphere? If you are craving sun, sea, sand, and a vibrant nightlife, Rimini makes an ideal beach extension. Together, we can tailor your Vespa journey to include this energetic coastal city, adding a fun and festive dimension to your Italian adventure.

UMBRIA

Umbria never fails to enchant its visitors. Renowned for its hilltop towns and unspoilt landscapes, this timeless region is home to classics such as Assisi, Orvieto, and Montepulciano — destinations that simply cannot be missed. Each town is steeped in history and artistic richness, offering enough beauty and culture to fill days of exploration.

The Duomo of Orvieto is an unforgettable masterpiece and widely regarded as one of Italy’s most beautiful cathedrals. In Assisi, the Basilica of San Francesco houses extraordinary frescoes by Giotto, a true highlight for art lovers. Umbria also embraces the serene beauty of Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central Italy and a wonderful place to spend a leisurely day.

Our Vespa tours depart from Città della Pieve, a small yet captivating town famed for its association with the great Renaissance painter Pietro Vannucci, known as “Il Perugino.” Its picturesque alleys, unexpected viewpoints, and colourful frescoes make it irresistible to lovers of authentic Italian charm.

Our flagship tour takes you from Città della Pieve to Assisi for a full day of discovery. The Orvieto Tour winds through welcoming countryside towns before revealing the breath taking Duomo. The Trasimeno Tour follows the lake’s most scenic routes, while the Montepulciano Tour offers the perfect excuse to enjoy a well-deserved glass — or bottle — of renowned local wine. Should you wish to include other celebrated cities such as Perugia, we would be delighted to tailor your itinerary accordingly.

SARDINIA

Italy’s precious island, Sardinia captivates visitors with its striking contrasts of light, colour, and untouched natural beauty. The wild and unspoilt landscapes found here feel like a true work of art by Mother Nature — an experience that lingers long after you leave.

Based in the northern part of the island, close to the renowned Costa Smeralda, celebrated for its picture-perfect beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and breath taking coastal views. This northern region offers a remarkable variety of scenery, from pristine beaches to lush green countryside scattered with ancient Nuraghi, the island’s iconic prehistoric stone structures.

Sardinia’s distinctive mountainous terrain is rich in both fauna and flora, home to deer, wild horses, and rare bird species. Many areas appear almost untouched by man, preserving their original natural composition and a sense of timeless wilderness.

Departing from Arzachena, our Vespa tours take you to Capo Testa, La Maddalena, and the stunning Costa Smeralda, as well as inland through charming villages such as Cudacciolu, Luogosanto, Luras, Calangianus, and Sant’Antonio di Gallura during the Nuraghi Tour.

APULIA (PUGLIA)

Welcome to the heel of Italy’s famous boot. In every sense, Apulia is an exceptional holiday destination, offering all the ingredients for a perfect escape. With a warm, sunny climate throughout the year and more than 800 kilometres of diverse coastline, the region boasts beautiful beaches, sandy bays, and dramatic wind-sculpted cliffs. Finding your ideal seaside spot is effortless. One such highlight is Polignano a Mare, made famous by Domenico Modugno’s iconic sing-along “Volare.”

Beyond its wonderful climate and beaches, Apulia enchants with charming whitewashed towns, breath taking landscapes, important archaeological sites, and a sublime culinary tradition.

The Itria Valley unfolds in vineyards, orchards, and gently rolling hills, dotted with the region’s distinctive white stone huts known as trulli. The highest concentration of these iconic circular houses with conical roofs can be found in Alberobello — fittingly, the departure point for our Vespa tours.

The Trulli Tour immerses you in this unique landscape, allowing you to become a true trulli expert. The Ostuni Tour leads to one of Apulia’s most enchanting towns, the dazzling “White City” of Ostuni, with additional stops in Locorotondo and Cisternino, both renowned for their beautifully preserved historic centres. The Grotte Tour is an unforgettable experience, revealing the extraordinary natural cave formations of the Grotte di Castellana. For those drawn to dramatic scenery, the Gravine Tour showcases spectacular deep rocky ravines carved by ancient seas.

Just beyond Apulia, in the neighbouring region of Basilicata, lies Matera, the extraordinary city of the Sassi. Designated European Capital of Culture in 2019 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, Matera is described as “one of the most outstanding organised urban settlements ever created in the world — a masterpiece of human creative genius and adaptation.” Other captivating cities such as Bari, Brindisi, and Gallipoli are just outside the standard routes but can easily be added. You name it — we’ll arrange it.
