HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Day 1:
Relax and taste. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of relaxation and gastronomy, enjoy the swimming pool under the shade of the centuries-old olive trees, and enjoy the extra-virgin olive oil tasting. Meals included: None
Day 2:
Culture and wine & food in the Itria Valley. You will be surrounded by beautiful landscapes of the Itria Valley, with its dry-stone walls, pinnacles and Trulli, squares, and old churches. You will visit the city of Martina Franca, called the “pearl of the Baroque” and the nearby Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and probably, one of the most important tourist centres of the Trulli-sea-cave district. In the afternoon, after lunch in a restaurant, a guided tour of a famous wine cellar followed by wine tasting. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
Day 3:
Cooking Class at a traditional Masseria and visit the maritime cities. The journey continues amongst the historical Masserias of the Itra Valley and the local products. Tasty recipes will be enjoyed under the guidance of an expert local chef. A cooking class in a Masseria followed by lunch. In the afternoon, a guided tour of Monopoli, one of the most ancient maritime cities of Puglia, and of Polignano a Mare, famous for its balconies overlooking the sea. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
Day 4:
Cooking class inside a typical Trullo and a journey into the heart of the land. Experience a cooking class in the Trullo. Under the guidance of a professional and expert chef, you will learn about local typical dishes, based on vegetable products. The lesson will take place inside a typical Trullo situated in Noci. This will then be followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will reach Castellana Grotte to visit its famous caves. The caves of Castellana are one of the most important speleological complexes in Europe. The tour winds along a distance of 3km, a unique guided tour of the caves in an amazing scenario of stalactites, stalagmites, concretions, incredible shapes, fossils, canyons, and caves. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
Day 5:
Mozzarella making and Alberobello, the “Capital” of Trulli. In the morning you reach Alberobello for a guided visit of this UNESCO World Heritage site which includes more than 1.000 Trulli. You will then head to a little Masseria in the countryside of Noci where you will enjoy a mozzarella-making process. You will enjoy lunch based on typical local dishes. The last afternoon of your holiday is not scheduled so you can spend it in the way you most prefer. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
Day 6: End of the holiday. Breakfast, check-out, and departure.
