Movie Walking Tours

Let’s take a different journey through Italy’s beautiful cities and villages and discover those places that were locations for famous Italian and foreign films that have thrilled and entertained millions of spectators all over the world.

 

Rome: A walk through the streets and monuments of the historical centre of Rome on the traces of the masters of Italian cinema: Fellini, Rossellini, De Sica, Pasolini, Antonioni, Scola, Moretti, Sorrentino; of unforgettable Roman actors: Aldo Fabrizi, Anna Magnani, Alberto Sordi; of the locations of great international films: "Roman holidays", "Nine", "The talent of Mr. Ripley", "The Core", "Ocean's Twelve", "To Rome with love", "Angels and demons", etc. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 
 

Naples: A walking tour on the traces of the great Neapolitan actors and directors: Totò, Eduardo, Sophia Loren, Francesco Rosi, Massimo Troisi; looking for the locations of films that have made the history of Italian cinema and of those of the new film and television production, from "Naples in Veils" by Özpetek to the TV series "My Brilliant Friend" taken from the novels of Elena Ferrante. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Matera: "Christ Stopped at Eboli", "Allonsanfan", "The Star Maker", "The tree of Guernica", "The Gospel According to St. Matthew", "The Passion", "Ben Hur", "Wonder Woman", TV series" Sisters ". In the city of Basilicata, 2019 European Capital of Culture, great Italian and international directors have made their films: Carlo Lizzani, Alberto Lattuada, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Francesco Rosi, Taviani brothers, Giuseppe Tornatore, Mel Gibson, and Patty Jenkins. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Palermo: From "The Leopard" by Luchino Visconti, a film about the mafia and the Italian mysteries, films of Giuseppe Tornatore, "Palermo Shooting" by Wim Wenders, hundreds of other films: the thousand faces of Palermo as a film location with which the national and international directors tried. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Arezzo: Through the main locations of the film "Life Is Beautiful" by Roberto Benigni, Oscar winner in 1999, an interesting walk that takes us through the most beautiful and significant places of the city: the Cathedral, the Vasari Lodges, the Palazzo Della Provincia, the Palazzo Della Fraternita Dei Laici, the Badia Delle Sante Flora and Lucilla, Piazza Grande, Via Garibaldi, the Basilica of San Francesco, the Caffè Dei Costanti in Piazza San Francesco, the Cartolibreria Orefice in Via Borgunto. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Florence: A tour through the extraordinary artistic heritage of the historical center of Florence, a privileged set for
film and television productions: from the transpositions of Pratolini's novels to the desecrating comedy of "My Friends"; from the refined Florence of Zeffirelli to that of the psychological horror of Dario Argento, from the new Tuscan comedians to Massimo
Troisi, from the international sets of James Ivory, Jane Campion and Ridley Scott to "Inferno" by Ron Howard to the great TV series on the Medici. The Tour includes a visit to the Franco Zeffirelli Museum.  The tour lasts for up to 4 hours. 

 

Ferrara: A journey through the historical centre of Ferrara to discover the locations of great masterpieces of Italian cinema: "Obsession" by Luchino Visconti, "It Happened in '43" and "Bitter Love" by Florestano Vancini, "The Garden of the Finzi-
Continis" by Vittorio De Sica, winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1972," The Golden Glasses "by Giuliano Montaldo," Beyond the Clouds "by Michelangelo Antonioni. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Turin: Alberto Lattuada, Michelangelo Antonioni, Carlo Lizzani, Citto Maselli, Lina Wertmüller, Luigi Comencini, Daniele Segre, Mimmo Calopresti, Gianni Amelio: many prestigious Italian directors have chosen Turin as the location for their films. In Turin, the horror master Dario Argento has shot some of his masterpieces, starting with "Profondorosso". The Walking Tour also includes a visit to the National Cinema Museum located in the beautiful Mole Antonelliana. The tour lasts for up to 4 hours. 

 

Milan: A tour through the historical Centre of Milan looking for the locations of the exhilarating movie "Toto, Peppino,
and the Hussy", of masterpieces of Italian cinema, like "Rocco and His Brothers" by Visconti, "The Night" by Antonioni "," Miracle in Milan "and" Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow "by De Sica," Il Generale Della Rovere "by Rossellini," Il P
osto "by Olmi," Fiasco in Milan" by Nanni Loy, "Caliber 9" by Di Leo, cult film for Quentin Tarantino. The tour lasts for up to 3 hours. 

 

Venice: This tour will guide you to the main locations of some great films: "Senso" and "Death in Venice" by L.Visconti; "Othello" in the versions of O.Welles and F.Zeffirelli; "The Anonymous Venetian" by E.M.Salerno; "Bread and Tulips" by S.Soldini; "Summertime" by D.Lean; "Casanova" by L.Hallström; "The Merchant of Venice" by M. Randford; "Indiana Jones and the Last
Crusade" by S.Spielberg; "Everyone says I love you" by W.Allen; "Ian Fleming's Moonraker" by L. Gilbert; "The Wings of the Dove" by I.Softley and many others, both Italian and foreign films which were shot in Venice.
