This house was built as a result of the flair and imagination of a famous architect resident in the United States. It has to be seen in order to fully appreciate its unique features. Located in the heart of Monteleone d'Orvieto on the border between Umbria and Tuscany and very close to Città Della Pieve (7 Km.), of medieval origin, a wonderful terrace in the Umbrian countryside.
Inside the town, in addition to the stunning architecture and numerous works of art, there are two excellent restaurants, bars and various food stores which are very useful for daily shopping. The town is famous for the production of saffron, oil, and wine. The house is located inside a noble palazzo at the margins of the old historical town centre. From the entrance to the palazzo, a scenic communal staircase leads to the apartment on the second floor which is furnished with modern design pieces. The setting preserves the period atmosphere, the frescoed walls, the original flooring, whilst all the details are the fortuitous expressions of the architect who carried out the restoration work.
From the terrace, accessed via the kitchen/dining room, it is possible to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Val'd'Orcia. The Etruscan origins of the venue can be seen from the area in which the spa and wine cellar have been created, ancient caves that, in the past, were used for storing oil and wine and which have now been turned into lounge areas with a swimming pool, heated whirlpool bathtub and the terrace located in a little-used road from which it is possible to enjoy the beautiful panorama. The house has a washing machine and tumble-dryer, WI-FI internet, Mp3 players, and hairdryers in the bathrooms.
