This is truly one of a kind experience. Just a short walk from the Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, and The Spanish Steps, in the very heart of the city, this 5-star luxury boutique hotel is the ideal base to explore the beautiful capital while enjoying top-notch contemporary accommodation. A thoughtful restoration has turned this Our next art hotel is located in the eternal city of Rome 19th century nobleman's palace into an elegant and refined hotel; the noble lines, that look of an aristocratic home, all this have been preserved creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. With impressive pieces of contemporary artwork made by some of the most important artists of the Italian scene and designer furnishings are throughout the common areas and suites. With its permanent and temporary exhibits, each room becomes a small private gallery, “yours" for a few days.

With a panoramic rooftop garden, Michelin star restaurant where chef Alessandro Narducci invites you and a lounge bar. Add an open-air fitness area technogym and you have the ideal place in Rome to stay.

TIPS & SUGGESTIONS:

  • Check out Galleria Borghese - Its collections are housed in a magnificent 17th-century villa and offer a compact course in the Italian aesthetic. In just 20 rooms, you are exposed to antiquities, the Renaissance and the beginnings of baroque art. Visits to the Galleria in the northeast corner of the sprawling Villa Borghese park are by reservation, which allows you the pleasure of seeing the Bernini sculptures from every angle without being crowded out. This is what Nancy says…. Other items: we did want to go to the Borghese Gallery, but when we went to book tickets (which we knew needed to be done ahead of time) there was no availability for more than a week a week out. I would recommend that you advise clients to book the visit right away, or before, they arrive in Rome - depending on how long they are staying.

  • San Luigi dei Francesi……… if you love Caravaggio then come here… The Calling of Saint Matthew hangs in the Contarelli Chapel of the San Luigi dei Francesi church. Two other Caravaggio works — St. Matthew and the Angel and the Martyrdom of St. Matthew — which round out the triptych, are also on permanent display here.  Come here in the morning as it closes at lunchtime. you'll have to drop a few coins to light up the paintings in the darkened interior and see how Caravaggio infused his own light into the baroque melodrama. Via Santa Giovanna d'Arco, Rome, Italy 00186; 39-06-688-271

  • Giorgio de Chirico House-Museum - 31 Piazza di Spagna, Rome, Italy 00187; 39-06-679-6546.  You are visiting the place where he lived, yes where he lived !!!!  He lived here for more than 30 years until his death in 1978.  You cannot but also notice how the “upper crust” lived for centuries as this apartment is accompanied by one of the best views of Rome overlooking the splendid Piazza di Spagna. The living area has been left largely as it was during De Chirico's life and displays dozens of his works. Reservations must be made in advance.
