Day 1: Meeting in Rome (Roma)
We meet up in the afternoon at our hotel in Rome and pick up the rental bikes. We all meet up before dinner and get to know each other via a welcome aperitif and a short but important briefing, the time to explain a few simple rules for organizing and synchronizing things, thus ensuring that everyone has a safe holiday that is unforgettable for all the right reasons. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Rome; included meals: D.

Day 2: 190 km
Let’s introduce you to Latium that, you might not know, is the region where Rome is found and that holds many other interesting treasures besides the Eternal City. We’ll stop first in Tivoli and visit the amazing Villa d’Este with its magnificent frescoes and Renaissance gardens. We go on along lake Turano before being swallowed by the astounding underground universe of a beautiful medieval town in Umbria. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Rieti; included meals: B, D.

Day 3: 220 km
Today’s tour is set in the green and delightful Apennine mountains, between Mount Terminillo and Lake Campotosto, in the natural park of the Gran Sasso in Abruzzo. An enchanting route in a timeless atmosphere amid absolutely charming hamlets dating from the Middle Ages and farming sceneries, skirting the area that suffered the 2016 earthquakes (Norcia, Amatrice). After a ride along the northern side of it we’ll arrive in Loreto Aprutino, a jewel embedded between the Gran Sasso massif and the Adriatic sea.  Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Loreto Aprutino; included meals: B, D.

Day 4: 230 km
We take a spin through the Gran Sasso Park and a string of stunning perfectly preserved medieval villages that formed the setting for unforgettable film masterpieces set in the Middle Ages, such as Ladyhawke and In The Name of the Rose. A self-cooked barbecue will be our lunch on top of the highest Apennine mountain (you can choose to have the famous Abruzzi lamb and mutton kebabs, for one). Dine where you please. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Loreto Aprutino; included meals: B, L.

Day 5: 205 km
Another whole day amid the green natural parks of the Abruzzi, admiring wonderful pristine landscapes along fantastic twisty roads. Forests, charming stone hamlets, lakes and gorges are ours to see. Day 6: 215 km
Another amazing day awaits, but actually isn’t every day? Through the Sagittarian Gorges we leave the Abruzzi heading to the region of Campania, in south-western direction, crossing the Matese National ark.  When arriving in Caserta we cannot miss a visit to the dramatic Reggia (Royal Palace of Caserta, Unesco world heritage site) constructed by King Carlo of Naples, founder of the cadet Italian branch of the House of Bourbon, to compete with the magnificence of Versailles in France.   Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Caserta; included meals: B, D.

Day 7: 110 km
A complete change of environment, from high mountains to gorgeous, coastal, cliff-side panoramas! We’ll reach the Mediterranean coast where we’ll first enjoy the spectacle of the Phlegraean Fields, where the combination of extraordinary natural sites and admirable human masterworks creates a unique scenery. There we’ll see the Flavian amphitheatre, a sheer testament of antique engineering with the biggest subterranean galleries network ever found. Then the last stop is Posillipo before reaching Naples. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Naples; included meals: B, D.

Day 8: 0 – … km
It’s time for a rest, we recommend leaving the bikes in the garage and going for alternative activities. Our staff and hotel personnel are at your disposal to organize your day. There are plenty of possibilities:

  • You may choose just to enjoy the hotel, the sea, and the sun and go for a shopping stroll in Naples

  • You may wish to spend the day exploring the unique Baroque appeal of this stunning city with hundreds of churches, fortresses and picturesque lanes (we recommend a guided visit)

  • A one-day cooking class in a factory of limoncello

  • Catch a ferry to Capri, Ischia, and Procida perhaps?

Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Naples; included meals: B. No meal is included today in order to leave you completely free from the early morning to late at night.

Day 9: 110 km
Another outstanding day awaits. We’ll first ride up to Vesuvius to enjoy the awesome view of the Gulf of Naples and the whole Sorrento peninsula, with a spectacular vista from above of the extraordinary archeological site of Pompeii (Unesco world heritage site), one of the most beloved and unique touristy areas in the whole world that we’ll subsequently visit on foot. After visiting Pompeii we carry on our ride through the Sorrento peninsula to reach beautiful Ravello, the terrace par excellence of the Amalfi coast (Unesco world heritage site).
