LUXURY VILLA VALDINEVOLE
In a tranquil spot and ideal for those who are in search of peace and quiet and a chance to fully relax and to be at one with your surroundings. The villa sleeps a total of 19 persons + 1, provides 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and 500 sqm of living space.
The villa is a typical historical Tuscan villa with a panoramic swimming pool. This independent villa, built in the second half of the 18th century is located on the western slopes of Mount Albano, approximately 250m above sea level.
The pool, 6x12m with a depth of 1.40m is situated on a natural terrace a couple of metres below the level of the villa and has a wide view of the valley below. Under the pool, there is a changing room with a shower and WC. The night lighting of the pool and its surroundings is particularly panoramic. The cleaning system of the pool ensures the utmost in hygiene and also provides an automatic system for maintaining the correct values of PH and chlorine. Open from mid-April to mid-October (under normal climatic conditions). Around the pool, there is a large fully equipped sunbathing area and further down to the right of the pool there is another relaxation area with a gazebo and chairs. Also in the vicinity, a children’s corner.
The villa’s external walls are covered in typical local stone as are almost all the surrounding houses, maintaining the original aspect of the building when it was constructed. The villa looks out over the typical Tuscan countryside – hills and olive groves, woods of chestnut and oak trees, all immersed in an oasis of silence. Inside for almost 50 years the owners have cultivated their passion for antiques and have furnished the villa with pieces acquired from antique dealers, auction sales, or antique fairs. Some of the more particular pieces are the beautiful doors of the walk-in wardrobes in two of the bedrooms, the wooden 17th-century plaque from a Florentine convent above the door of one of the lounge rooms. Two of the bedrooms have Empire wardrobes and chests of drawers. The owners’ taste is eclectic and includes some pieces of Liberty period furniture, for example, the French mirror in the green bathroom and the Sicilian chest of drawers in the yellow bedroom. There is a late Empire sideboard in another of the lounge rooms. There are many antique prints on the walls, including geographical maps of various countries, and in some of the bedrooms and lounge rooms, there are chests dating back to the 16th and 17th century. Another remarkable piece is the billiard table, dating back to the early nineteen hundreds – in perfect condition. Many other pieces, more or less important, have all been chosen in the spirit of tracing the owner's Tuscan roots
The villa is very well serviced and provides a range of benefits and comforts, from dishwashers and blenders, courtesy line in each bathroom with shower/shampoo, hand soap, and body cream, great views, WIFI, Netflix, for movies and TV series in original languages, billiard room, hydromassages (Jacuzzi tub or shower) in all the bathrooms, parking for up to 5 cars. (Access to the property is not a problem, as the road is asphalted).....
The villa is in an area called the Valdinevole, as yet not ruined by mass tourism, and presenting all the characteristic natural and artistic aspects of the Tuscan countryside. The villa is most strategically placed: away from the chaos of the cities but with easy access to Tuscan “musts”. In fact, 95% of the symbolic Tuscan landmarks can be reached within an hour and a half by car.
