Bologna & Emilia Romagna

Renowned for its Parma ham and Parmesan, its Ferrari museum, its food and nightlife, Bologna and this region still remains slightly ignored by foreign tourism. Bologna possesses energy. Enjoy a weekend break in Bologna or even a week as there is so much to do….from sightseeing to eating and going out, great shopping and really great food.  For all you petrol heads there are three very important stops for car and motorbike obsessed travellers, the Ducati, Lamborghini and Ferrari Museum.  There is also the Bologna Motorshow if you have time and you manage to time your trip correctly.  Check out the fruit and vegetable market in Via Ugo Bassi, the giant flea market in Piazza Otto Agosto every Friday and Saturday and the antique market every Thursday on Via Valdonica.  Bologna will not bore you, it just excites…..

We will now head away from Bologna and discover a few places which are away from the madding crowd and offer something a little unique….We start off with this medieval village and castle which stands majestically on a hill and faces the Adriatic Sea, it really is going back in time. If self catering is more your style, we have this semi detached house available which can accommodate up to 6 persons and is located in a hilly location overlooking San Marino. The house offers great outdoors, many games and a small “pool” for children so ideal for a family. Only 20kms from Rimini and the beautiful beaches of Igea Marina and Bellaria.
